I don’t know about you, but I can say this from my own experience: entrepreneurship is really hard.
I had no idea when I started my business how tough it was going to be, and why. I didn’t realize how much of my mindset would need to change, and how difficult it would be to learn how to put myself out there and take a stand.
But I got the chance to talk with two people over the past two weeks who are at the very early stages of this process, and sharing my story with them reminded me why I did this in the first place, and why it’s still worth it.
I had no idea when I started my business how powerfully fulfilling it would be to build something I believe in. I didn’t realize that it would make me a better version of myself, and how amazing it would be to embrace a journey of growth like this.
It’s like parenting, really. People can tell you how hard it is, and they’re right. But the goodness and the love and the joy are so deep that it outweighs all of that by a mile.
So if this year has sucked for you, I just hope this can be a quick reminder of why you’re out here in the arena doing this stuff. What is making it worth it for you?
