I am now officially back from maternity leave. My daughter Alexee Zanna Berghoff was born on December 10th, and we are so deeply grateful for her.
I always knew I’d be coming back to work, but I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about it. Would I want more time away? Secretly want to quit? Turns out, I was excited to come back. I’m tired, and it adds a lot to my plate, but I love what I do. More than that, I love the people I get to know because of A Squared.
Stepping away from a business for a couple of months for any reason has a clarifying effect. It confirmed why I’m doing this and what I need it to do. I love my work because I get to build relationships with people who inspire me. I get to channel my natural strengths in a direction that is helpful to other people. I get to build something that makes me stronger, and that I hope will open doors for my daughters. I want them to know in their bones what they can do.
Could I do all those things without A Squared? Absolutely. There are so many great ways to do life. But I’m glad A Squared is the thing that works for me.
Jennifer, who has been part of the team for three years, is an amazing leader and partner. She kept the business humming like a well oiled machine the whole time I was gone. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. I’m so excited to go into this year with each of us leaning into what we do best and working side by side.
I’ll keep showing up here every week, and we’ll keep rolling! We’re still on a mission to help entrepreneurs take back their time and build a business without sacrificing their freedom. I want to pour into this community that has done so much for me and my family.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for inspiring me and so many others. I’m grateful to know you.
