Important question for business owners, freelancers, and entrepreneurs…

Are you still waiting for the entrepreneurial freedom you were promised when you started your business?

The truth is, starting a business isn’t what gives you time freedom. In fact, most new business owners end up working MORE hours for LESS pay than they ever did as an employee.

According to Xero, 54% of employees feel like they can truly check out on a vacation…but only 14% of small business owners feel the same way. Not great, right?

The good news is that entrepreneurial freedom is possible.

If you want to take back control over your work and your life…

If you dream of taking a day, a week, even a month to unplug for the first time in way too long…

And if you want to bring in more money for the time you put in…

Then this is going to be the most important message you read all day.

Hi, I’m Ashlee…

Ever since I bought my first Lisa Frank trapper keeper in the first grade, I’ve loved organizing.

I may have outgrown gel pens and glue sticks, but that early love affair with school supplies transformed into a passion for serious systems.

Just a few years down the road, I was studying systems organization under the best of the best… in corporate consulting, international development, and even Georgetown’s elite MBA program.

So when I set out to start a business of my own, I thought I’d harness all that organizational power into making entrepreneurs’ lives better.

You see, while all the experts were perfecting systems for big organizations, there was a deep need in the entrepreneurial world that had been totally overlooked…

Although Entrepreneurs Had Big Ideas, They Rarely Had The Systems In Place To Bring Those Ideas To Life.

I KNEW I could help with that!

So I rolled up my sleeves and started building the systems my clients needed to grow. I expanded my team, too, to serve them better.

And then, something interesting started to happen…

Emails kept landing in my inbox with the same question: “I know I need a virtual assistant, but where do I begin?”

They didn’t know where to look, what they were looking for exactly, or even what tasks to delegate. They wanted my team’s help.

But when it came to marketing, we were focusing all of our attention on systems.

Then It Clicked: We Could Layer Amazing Systems And World-Class Delegation Together Into One Program.

We believe that systems are powerful enough to change your life, and that without them, finding freedom as an entrepreneur is impossible.

And we also believe that learning how to delegate effectively will be one of the most incredible skills you will ever learn. If your business is chaotic, adding more people will simply add more chaos… but if you leverage your systems AND your team together, your life as a business owner will change forever.

What If Every Day in Your Business Could Be Like Your Best Day?

Imagine after a delicious breakfast, you stroll over to your desk and sit down. Right next to your keyboard is a small to-do list. You chuckle a little – you know exactly how to make everything happen, and you’re going to be done early today.

You pop open your inbox and notice an important client request, and then you notice something else… your assistant has already handled it perfectly.

You have easy access to all the resources you need, the people who can help you make things happen, and the metrics that tell you how things are going.

It still feels kind of new, this ‘not being stressed’ thing. You try to remember the last time you had a work emergency…was it really three months ago?

Today you feel calm, confident, sure.

And the work that is ahead of you is meaningful and the best possible use of your time.

Entrepreneurial Freedom is Real, But It’s Not Automatic

It’s tempting to think that entrepreneurial freedom is simply waiting for us on the other side of some milestone – after we hit a revenue goal, hire the right person, or wrap up a major launch. But if you talk to successful entrepreneurs, you’ll hear a different story…

They’ll tell you that entrepreneurial freedom doesn’t just happen.

Because no matter what you’ve already accomplished, how much time and effort you’ve already put in, or how much support you have from your team…. there will always be more work to do.

Yes, entrepreneurial freedom is REAL. And it’s attainable. But you can’t achieve it without SYSTEMS.

Without the right systems, the best team in the world won’t be able to give you your freedom back…not really. For every hour they save, you’ll pile more onto your own plate. So to get the kind of freedom you crave, you’ll have to start by putting those systems in place.

Here’s the good news…

Every entrepreneur goes through five phases on the way to entrepreneurial freedom. And no matter which phase you’re in right now, focusing on specific systems will help you get out of the weeds, take focused action, and build the kind of sustainable business that leads to real entrepreneurial freedom.

That means, regardless of where you are in your business, a clear path to freedom has already been laid out for you…

The Five Phases of Entrepreneurial Freedom

Phase One - Drowning

If you’re trying not to think about the impossible list you wrote down this morning…

If you’ve had the same tasks on your to-do list for months…

If you haven’t felt like you’re winning in your business for a while…

You’re probably in this phase!

Don’t worry… our #1 goal is to get you taking deep breaths as soon as possible. So we start with triage, using the quickest sanity-saving tools at our disposal.

On our very first call together, we pull everything out of your brain: all your to-dos, all your goals, and your biggest challenges.

From there, we’ll set human-sized expectations for what you can really accomplish over the next two months, and we’ll look for every opportunity to lighten the load on your mind.

That way, you can focus on the one or two things that are truly urgent (and make a plan for tackling everything else down the road).

Phase Two - Walking On Solid Ground

Once you’re out of emergency mode, you are going to feel great. You can breathe, and sleep, and eat real meals, away from your desk. You might even tell us that you got your life back. That’s amazing!

A word of warning….

Now’s NOT the time to let up. It wouldn’t take much to land back in drowning mode again. In fact, this is where you need to be MORE vigilant…

So in this phase, we’re going to fortify your position so you can stabilize your business and prepare for unexpected changes.

Our biggest tool in this phase is what I like to call “time leadership.” This is where you take control and STAY in control of your schedule and your life… for good!

We start by building a system, customized to you, for consistent clarity about what’s on your plate. That way, you’ll never again have to wonder what you should be working on or worry that you might be missing something important.

Then we’ll layer on big picture, weekly, and daily planning rhythms so you can sit down every day with a vivid, and more importantly, achievable list of high-priority projects. This type of planning will ward off shiny object syndrome so you can make real progress on the projects that matter most to you.

Finally, when you’re getting ready to graduate to Phase Three, we’ll pinpoint specific places in your business where you’re making the same decisions over and over (on things like pricing, scope, how to onboard someone, or whether to take on a certain type of client). Making those big decisions now will go a long way towards saving you vital time and energy in the future.

Phase Three - Lightening The Load

It’s right when things start looking good that growth mode can kick in. You’ll discover that carrying all the burdens of your business alone can get way too heavy. Even worse, when you’re going it alone, you spend way too much time outside your zone of genius and neglect the projects that excite you the most.

That’s why this is the perfect time to bring on an assistant. And it’s also when we’ll roll up our sleeves and get to work to help you find, hire, and train the help your business needs.

We’ll start by asking you a series of questions to identify exactly what you need. Don’t worry if you don’t know what you want in a Virtual Assistant or what to give them to do – we’ll help you create the perfect customized job description. Then we’ll post your job description to our networks and screen every single candidate who applies, so you don’t have to. We’ll only pass along the three or four top assistants we think could be a perfect fit for you. After you meet with each of them, we’ll help you make a decision.

Once you have a great team member in your business, you’ll begin to see improvement pretty quickly. But we won’t leave you to figure out what’s next. We’ll make sure your VA is fully trained in the core elements of supporting you effectively.

(In fact, as long as you’re a member of Action Amplified, we’ll be available as a resource to both of you. Is there a new project you’re trying to figure out how to give to your VA? Come talk to us. Does your VA have a question about how to solve a particular problem for you? They can reach out to us, too!)

Phase Four - Building Your House

Once you’re taking clear, focused action and have a great team member to get out of the weeds, building a business that can grow beyond you is suddenly within reach!

In Phase Four, you’re really starting to take control like a CEO. We’ll strengthen your boundaries, help you empower your team, and streamline your business from every angle.

This is when you’ll define, articulate, and manage your core operational systems, like a world-class customer experience, powerful marketing, clear metrics, and effective financial management. And we’ll help you identify and use the right software tools to automate as much as possible.

The most fun part? We’re going to set our sights on bigger and bigger stretches of unplugged time. Say hello to genuinely relaxing evenings, weekends, and vacations long enough to finally decompress!

Phase Five - Entrepreneurial Freedom

By Phase Five, you’re a master at using systems to tackle any project that you choose to take on. You have a clear sense of agency over your time and a clear vision for your business.

Of course, you’ll always have new projects and big ideas, but you’re able to step away for weeks at a time, confident that nothing will burn down while you’re away. Your clients are cared for by your rock star team, and you can’t remember the last time work encroached on your personal time.

This is why you started your business in the first place. And it’s absolutely achievable.

I’d Like To Introduce You To…

Action Amplified

An intimate group coaching program designed for freelancers and solopreneurs who’ve reached capacity and want to keep growing without giving up more of their time or sanity.

We’ve kept the program simple to help you build freedom quickly. Here’s what you get as a member of Action Amplified:

One-on-one strategic time with us

No two people in the group will have an identical experience, and we want to make sure you have plenty of direct access to us. Every eight weeks, we’ll spend an hour with you to map out a clear course for how you’ll spend the next two months. You’ll walk out of this call with a short, tangible list of major projects that will move the needle in your business in a significant way. And for those projects that feel overwhelming, we will even break them up into week-by-week milestones so you can take clear action and sense your progress.

Committing to a group of projects for two months will give you a chance to experience real momentum and help ward off shiny object syndrome. But you’re not locked into some big annual plan, so you’ll have space to implement new ideas or pivot your business without feeling like you’re getting off track.

A new system every month

Every month, we’ll meet as a group to review a system or framework together that you can easily implement in your own business. The goal for each call is for you to walk away with a super simple system that will streamline your business (and your life).

In past sessions, we’ve talked about things like:

  • Responding to overwhelm
  • Tracking your marketing metrics
  • Communicating with your VA
  • Repurposing your content
  • Planning your days and weeks

Every session we’ve ever done is recorded and stored in our vault, so you can access them exactly when you need them.

Right-on-time resources

Sometimes, our group coaching calls will talk about something that’s exactly relevant to your situation. Other times, your biggest challenge may be something different. Whenever we see that there’s a system or framework that would be helpful for you, we’ll send it to you! We believe in the power of only consuming content that’s relevant to your biggest focus, so we’ll make sure you have everything you need to succeed.

Examples of resources we could share with you include:

  • An onboarding checklist template for your virtual assistant
  • A spreadsheet for tracking your revenue forecasts
  • A Fix This Next assessment to identify your core vital need
  • A workbook for tracking your publicity outreach

Two weekly office hours

Twice each week, we’ll be online for an hour and ready to hear from you. You can show up with a specific question, an update, or even just to vent. If you’re procrastinating on something, tell us about it and we’ll help clear the blocks. If you’re struggling to find time for your major projects, we’ll create a game plan to get you back on track. If you want to delegate something new but aren’t sure how, office hours are a perfect way to get your answer.

Our office hours are very implementation focused, so you always walk away with a clear, tangible, achievable next right step.

Finding your virtual assistant

Team building is a powerful way to cultivate entrepreneurial freedom in your business. If you don’t have a virtual assistant, though, we’re not going to just tell you to find one and leave you to figure it out on your own. We’re going to actively remove most of the hurdles between you and a rock star assistant.

First, we’ll ask you a lot of questions and give you clear exercises to help you figure out exactly what you could share with a VA and what you can afford.

Then, we’ll send you a job description template you can easily use to create a role description for your new team member.

Once you’ve finalized what you need, we will post that job description for you within our networks. Not only that, but we will screen all of the applicants and host first interviews with candidates who look promising.

Then, we’ll schedule interviews between you and only three or four of the best candidates. If you need help picking your favorite, we can help with that too.

If you’d like to do further screening through reference checks and/or test projects, we have frameworks to make the process incredibly easy.

Long story short, we’ll remove obstacles each step of the way so you can easily find the perfect team member for you.

Supporting your virtual assistant (and you)

Once you pick a great virtual assistant, we all know this is just the beginning of the story. Now it’s time to onboard and train that person! We’re here to help you with that too.

We have onboarding checklists, working agreement templates, and everything you need to easily set up your relationship with your new team member.

Before your virtual assistant dives in, we will meet with them to train them on the core elements of serving a business owner effectively. We’ll talk about communication rhythms, reliability, and professionalism to set a good foundation.

We’re going to talk with you, too! We’ll help you set up the structures YOU need to communicate clearly, delegate effectively, and let go without fear.

We’ll continue to support both you and your VA throughout the program. Often, when a client and virtual assistant don’t work out, it’s not because either person has done anything wrong. It’s just because of a breakdown of communication and a whole lot of confusion. We’re here to help you avoid that pothole.

Imagine you and your virtual assistant are working together perfectly. They’re knocking it out of the park every day, and you’re ready to start delegating more projects to them….but you’re not sure how. We’re here to support you! Bring those projects to us, and we’ll help you get them ready to delegate.

Or, imagine if you and your VA keep getting stuck in the same spot, or your VA isn’t sure how to best support you in a certain area. You can come to us to talk through it, and so can your VA!

Long story short, we’re here as a resource and a translator to maximize your odds of an incredible working relationship with your team.

To Recap, You Will Receive:

One-on-one time with us for planning and focus

A new system or framework every month

Resources exactly when you need them

Weekly office hours

Virtual assistant sourcing

Training and ongoing support for both you and your VA

Our program prioritizes a personalized touch on purpose…and if you’ve ever taken a cookie-cutter course that didn’t help you much, you’ll understand why. We have plenty of tools in our belt, but your journey will fit what you need.

Here’s What People Say About A Squared

“Before I started with A Squared, I was managing all the admin of my business on my own. I had a lot of customers coming in and a lot of customer service requests…I had no idea how to manage all of it.

Today, I have an amazing VA who’s handling all the customer service, replying to all the emails, doing all the backend stuff for my course. [Working with her] allows me to do the stuff that I want to do, which is create and coach and teach and write.

The impact has just been so much less tedious hours spent and more free time to do the things that I want to. It’s been an incredible experience. I’m super thrilled!”
