When I joined A Squared, I knew I had found a kindred spirit in its founder, Ashlee Berghoff, and a way to use my skills and experience to benefit others.

We’ll host first interviews with candidates who look promising to narrow the pool even further.
Only three or four of the best candidates will reach the stage of scheduling an interview directly with the CEO (aka you).
We’ll call up to three references on your behalf, and if you want to run a test project to identify a clear winner, we can facilitate the whole thing.

Every eight weeks, we’ll spend an hour with you to map out a clear course for how you’ll spend the next two months. You’ll walk out of this call with a short, tangible list of major projects that will move the needle in your business in a significant way. And for those projects that feel overwhelming, we will even break them up into week-by-week milestones so you can take clear action and sense your progress.
Committing to a group of projects for two months will give you a chance to experience real momentum and help ward off shiny object syndrome. But you’re not locked into some big annual plan, so you’ll have space to implement new ideas or pivot your business without feeling like you’re getting off track.
A new system every month
Every month, we’ll host a workshop to build a key system into your business. The goal for each call is for you to walk away with something tangible that will streamline your business (and your life).

Phase One - Drowning

From there, we’ll set human-sized expectations for what you can really accomplish over the next two months, and we’ll look for every opportunity to lighten the load on your mind.
That way, you can focus on the one or two things that are truly urgent (and make a plan for tackling everything else down the road).
Phase Two - Walking On Solid Ground
Once you’re out of emergency mode, you are going to feel great. You can breathe, and sleep, and eat real meals, away from your desk. You might even tell us that you got your life back. That’s amazing!
A word of warning….
Now’s NOT the time to let up. It wouldn’t take much to land back in drowning mode again. In fact, this is where you need to be MORE vigilant…
So in this phase, we’re going to fortify your position so you can stabilize your business and prepare for unexpected changes.
Our biggest tool in this phase is what I like to call “time leadership.” This is where you take control and STAY in control of your schedule and your life… for good!
We start by building a system, customized to you, for consistent clarity about what’s on your plate. That way, you’ll never again have to wonder what you should be working on or worry that you might be missing something important.
Then we’ll layer on big picture, weekly, and daily planning rhythms so you can sit down every day with a vivid, and more importantly, achievable list of high-priority projects. This type of planning will ward off shiny object syndrome so you can make real progress on the projects that matter most to you.
Finally, when you’re getting ready to graduate to Phase Three, we’ll pinpoint specific places in your business where you’re making the same decisions over and over (on things like pricing, scope, how to onboard someone, or whether to take on a certain type of client). Making those big decisions now will go a long way towards saving you vital time and energy in the future.
Phase Three - Lightening The Load
It’s right when things start looking good that growth mode can kick in. You’ll discover that carrying all the burdens of your business alone can get way too heavy. Even worse, when you’re going it alone, you spend way too much time outside your zone of genius and neglect the projects that excite you the most.
That’s why this is the perfect time to bring on an assistant. And it’s also when we’ll roll up our sleeves and get to work to help you find, hire, and train the help your business needs.
We’ll start by asking you a series of questions to identify exactly what you need. Then we’ll post your job description to our networks and screen every single candidate who applies, so you don’t have to. We’ll only pass along the three or four top assistants we think could be a perfect fit for you. After you meet with each of them, we’ll help you make a decision.
